Runningco.com says: Entering his first season at PVI, coach Breton Bonnette acquires a team that returns three runners that ran on top seven in 2006. Leading the way for the Eagles this fall will be sophomore Mike Rankin, who is coming off an outstanding freshman season and a strong summer of training. But behind Rankin, though, a decent size gap exists. The guys Bonnette will be depending on to close that gap include junior Joe Fiore, senior Paul Lively, senior Tom Norris, senior Ed Murphy, senior Will Bradford and freshmen Eric Hubbs and Nick Vadino, who will both push for the final varsity spot. After the top three, the lineup lacks big meet experience, so the Nos. 4 and 5 men will need to acclimate themselves quickly. The Eagles are the favorite to win the Olympic National again and will be competitive at most major meets. |
