Titles Won in 2006: Camden County meet

Key Losses: Jeromy Rodgers and Jason Kendall, who were the top two runners for the Hawks in 2006. Rodgers took 10th at South Jersey Group 2 sectionals and 24th at the Group 2 state meet. Kendall was eighth at sectionals and 12th at states.   

Key Returnee: Junior Mike Dinerman, the only returning top seven runner from last year’s team.

Runningco.com says: The Hawks are young and inexperienced as they return only one top seven runner – junior Mike Dinerman – from a 2006 team that finished eighth at the Meet of Champions (second South Jersey team). But even though the team will be forced to fill six varsity spots, don’t think this won’t be a competitive team. Coach Dave Donohue is a good motivator and will have success in developing many of his untested runners. With Haddonfield and Haddon Heights a cut above the rest of the Colonial Conference, Township will contend with West Deptford for third in the conference. The Hawks will also have a good shot of earning one of the last two spots into the Group 1 state meet after Heights, Pennsville and Maple Shade, which appear to be the top three in South Jersey Group 1.
